Recently in a bid to be a good citizen of Leopardia Republic, I adopted BUSU. See, it’s my creation of “Be Ugandan See Uganda.” I also watch Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) Television and I am impressed with the current programming, though I think mzèei Tony Owana needs to leave and we shall be happy viewers.
So it is a Sunday and I am waiting on for the premiere of East Africa got talent show. This is my second week but I must say that it’s impressive. The talent is brought out today. I was blown away by a 7-year-old Leyna Kagere, one of the Participants who performed Linda Randel’s masterpiece One Day at a Time.
This 7-year-old was out of this world. Now, before I am accused of ageism, let me give context. Her mastery of the lyrics, and her voice control were a no match for our seasoned slay queen performers. I liked the way she tweaked the lines and inserted her own in that way owning the song. “..I am not a woman, I am just a girl.” The way she belted out that tune made me sob with happiness, a happiness that was killing me.
Her hero was standing by and cheering her on, heavens bless parents! It got me thinking about parenting and good nurturing. One certainly needs that to exude the confidence she had. Another great example of exuding confidence was Ezekiel and his sister. The judge had to stop for the young lad to sing his lungs out.
Like Randel’s song goes, it’s one day at a time. This makes more sense every single day I wake up. Never had I thought of this time, but encouragement, visits from friends and family kept and still keep me going. One day, we shall reach there.
Right now we may not be able to plot the progress but indicators are that we shall get there.
There is a lot to live for and rebuild our lives once more.
He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power. Even youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.

We are all striving. That friend, patience surely rewards us in due time. On a lighter note, on point prophecy about Owana, hahaha. Could you be related to Mbonye?!
