Real Story behind ‘Western’ push for Bobi Wine.

Around Last year, Uganda was readying itself for a ritual called elections but something had happened, the big Social media companies had suspended accounts of the government and ruling party (NRM) Accounts. Facebook as a result got disabled and even up to now, accessing it is through the Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Twitter and Facebook in their statements cited violation of community standards as reason for the suspension. Government of Uganda was not amused and looked at the suspension as a Western led initiate against the current government led by Tibuhaburwa Museveni. The former Presidential Press Secretary put out a tweet getting at the Companies and blaming the West. Government sympathizers were calling upon Twitter at the time to unblock Donald Trump’s account first, accusing the company of double standards. Some people believe that the move could only have been engineered by the Washington Government.

The president,in his campaigns always said that,Bobi Wine was supported by, ‘Homosexuals’ ,an indirect jab at the Western Powers which are liberal as far as sexuality is concerned. The President then met a delegation of the European union and blamed the powers for the interference in politics. After winning the election,he took a swipe at the Western Powers and told them to, never lecture him on democracy .

As a wide and voracious reader, any mention of the west and America takes me to John Stockwell’s classic,’In Search for my Enemies’ which details assassinations of key figures notable, Patrick Lumumba. Another book,’White Malice’ states so.

The West are not exactly angels and have never wished well for Africa. I have written about Africa’s Solution. What is possible is that Bobi Wine could have been supported as the West always wants regime change. The West supported,Chamisa and the current president elect Hichilema. We should know one thing, the West has never and will never like us. You need to follow the Tigray conflict to understand Western Powers. What we need is African renaissance and not romanticization with the West because they have never liked us.

The Grace of God abounds more for you, Roland. A Blessed 2022!!!!

  2. Paraphrasing the words of Kissinger: America (the west) has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests.
