Today is a public holiday, it’s the Andrew and Daisy international holiday and everyone is supposed to celebrate the two who became one, this is my statutory Law, Balaam and Nameere will go around districts reprimanding whoever is not celebrating the two who are now one.
The Bronze Anniversary, marking eight years of marriage, celebrates a union that has grown resilient and endurance .Bronze itself,an alloy of copper and tin, symbolizes the strength that comes from blending two distinct elements into something sturdier and more beautiful. By this stage, love has matured beyond the shimmer of early romance into a deep, steady glow, much like the warm patina of bronze that only grows richer with time. Couples often use this milestone to reflect on shared challenges overcome and the harmony forged through patience and understanding.
Friendship is everything. Friendship is more than talent. It is more than the government. It is almost the equal of family.- Don Corleone” ― Mario Puzo, The Godfather. Friends are the relatives we make outside our blood relations and this happens in school, work places and other environments where we interact, Daisy was a law school classmate and in her I found a sister. Life ghosted us but we continued chasing the ‘Ugandan dream’ as I may call it. We linked up in other circumstances and this time, she was with Andrew and Her honour Joan Mati

Friends are the relatives we make outside our bloodlines and in Andrew and Daisy, I have found a brother and a sister. I first met the two who are now one at the rehabilitation center in Gayaza and was elated at their love but most importantly the fact that they had freed up their precious time in this You-gander of ours to check on me, these two were dating but with a purpose to further the dating into a holy marriage. When I left the rehabilitation center shortly back to Naguru, the two kept coming to visit and even when Andrew proposed to Daisy, the two that became one came and updated me on the journey. I have seen the two when they were just lovebirds to now the one who are each other’s anchor in the life storms and today I celebrate them.
Eight years is no small journey, and there’s something quietly beautiful about how the two of you have grown into your marriage. Bronze feels like the right symbol for this moment not flashy, not loud, but strong in a way that comes from weathering life together. The Kasujjas have always had that steady warmth about them: a partnership built on patience, shared laughter, and the kind of understanding that only comes from choosing each other again and again. As you mark your bronze anniversary, may you feel proud of the life you’ve shaped and hopeful for all the years still unfolding ahead.May life continue being kind to you and the A³ Constables.
