August Rush #1 No air

The Song “No Air” by Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown has many covers but the original remains classic. I have listened to covers done by Glee and Boyce Avenue and some acoustic versions too. The song reminds me of 2008, that was the time when I afforded emotional Sonnets of love , every time I listened to that song. Maybe its the lyrics or the “Chemistry” in the video, the Blackberry T-Mobile phones or the Boulevard. By the time [“No Air”] hits the final stretch, the title actually seems rather prophetic, since Jordin and Chris are yodeling away at the tops of their voices to the extent that you wonder how they’re concealing their need to gasp for big lung bucketfuls of precious oxygen every thirty seconds. No Air was one of the best songs of 2008. No wonder it was penned by six people. The Chord progression from F#-E#to G is awesome.

The song was played on our Leaver’s Party when I was a Pablo with Neruda Sonnets. It was originally written for a male artist and when Jordin Sparks heard of it, she expressed interest in the song and Chris Brown was brought on board. It was released in February,2008 and it was the song at the time. No air no air……..

These are the songs we jam to as classics. We never tested their competition for airplay in the then chats.
