The Universal Declaration of Human Rights guarantees the freedom of expression, I want to think that crushing is an expression, that if I die I die moment.
Girl before a Mirror is an oil on canvas painting by Pablo Picasso, which he created in 1932. The painting is a portrait of Picasso’s mistress and muse, Marie-Thérèse Walter, who is depicted standing in front of a mirror looking at her reflection.

So anyone into canvas painting knows that Pablo is the greatest of all time (GOAT). Now there’s a Picasso in Afrobloggers, her mastery with words is up there, she is Elise Tirza ,a doctor from Ghana and weaves her magic here ,If beautiful writing were a person, she would be the one. She effortlessly tells her story not only through conversations, but imagination and drives the point home . Atleast, we now know Miwuri from her posts. We see her bumping into the boss without knocking and walking hurriedly away to a waiting Miwuri who drives her home and laughs at her.
Chinua Achebe says that what an old man sights while seated, the young ones cannot see while standing. I wrote this in June during the Winter Afrobloggers Challenge and she did clinch it. Tirza is an artist, the way she broke down cryptocurrency in a conversation is amazing. I’m sure you are all waiting for the follow up on the Sickle cell related story. Right now, I am running around with the phrase,”thick thighs save lives”, all thanks to her writing. Her non fiction is awesome as well, I could feel that surprise from a friend who never returned her calls when in her State. Writing has the ability to transport us into a place and stay there and when she writes, we are transfixed. She has an uptight schedule with school but still finds time to bless us with her works. The reason I have not hyperlinked is because I want you to read and subscribe to the blog and you will read more from the good doctor.
Allow me to coin the word, Afrobloggers Crush Tuesday (ACT), where you crush on a blogger’s content and encourage others to read/follow the blog. Tirza is my ACT .
